The specifically created box allows you to store your Edition9 safely and convenient even for transportation. The earcups are black ruthenium-plated and the insignia on the earcups is made of chrome-plated brass, crafted in Bavaria. Earpads and head pad are made of soft genuine Ethiopian hair sheep leather in dark grey. This is the finest leather available with convincing attributes. This leather is so soft and smooth that you barely feel the headphones on your ears and it provides an excellent isolation. Your Edition9 is equipped with titanium-plated drivers and polished MU Metal shieldings for reduced magnetic field emissions. The set also contains a gold-plated adapter 6,3/3,5 mm. This combination of selected materials and ULTRASONE technologies presents the exceptional accurateness of your Edition9 headphones. The patented S-Logic™ technology is described as Natural Surround Sound. No other digital surround system can compare with this new standard. As the sound of normal headphones will sound direct and even on both sides, the S-Logic™ system pushes the sound around your head! It appears as though you are listening to speakers meters away. How does S-Logic™ work?
S-Logic™ sends music around your head not just into it, because this technology uses decentralized driver positioning. Did you know that all of us use and need the outer ear for 3-dimensional hearing to define the direction and the distance where a sound comes from? Instead of hitting the inner ear directly, with S-Logic™ the signals are reflected off the surface of the outer ear in different directions before entering the auditory canal to create a natural 3-dimensional sound. S-Logic™ is the only headphone system which includes your entire sense of hearing. S-Logic™ does not change your personal hearing. It intensifies it for your individual needs and listening pleasure. S-Logic™ does neither need artificial echo nor digital processing or cross over run time delay (like DSP). You can hear the music just the way the sound mixer produced it.

MU Metal shielding for reduced magnetic field emissions

The S-Logic™ technology does not only create a Natural Surround Sound. S-Logic™ allows at the same time a lower dB output (3-4dB) for the same loudness sensation. This may reduce the risk of hearing damage while ensuring hours of fatigue-free listening. However, ULTRASONE generally advises not to listen to music at high volumes to prevent hearing damage.
